Skinny Dipping in Cold Water On a Hot Day

Submitted by Dan on

We got one of those little backyard pools for Sophia to play in, and the other day Ruth was so hot from working out in the sun that she couldn't even take time to put on her bathing suit before diving in. Which is by the way, one of the great reasons to live out in the country, bathing suits are not strictly necessary. I couldn't run to get my camera fast enough. ;)

Sophia's First Swim in Lake MacDonald

Submitted by Dan on

Sophia just loved Lake MacDonald, she splashed, bobbed, giggled and guffawed. She would have stayed in for hours, but the water-- even in the middle of summer--is only around 50-60 degrees, so we had to make sure she didn't get too cold.

Ruth took this one when the three of us went on a short hike in Glacier Park (the Lower MacDonald Creek oxbow hike). Normally I hate to further reduce the quality of my site by posting pics with me in them, but I thought this one might be worth it.

Crib Hair

This is the sight that Ruth gets to look forward to every morning.

Evening Stroll

The sunset was just too beautiful to stay inside, obviously Sophia was enjoying herself.

As smart as I think Sophia is, she doesn't always LOOK very smart.

Bad Influence

Its official: Sophia is now old enough to have her parents bad habits imparted to her.

All Fall Down

Ruth stacked all the blocks into a triangle and Sophia had a gay old time scattering them. I like the look of the motion blur on a couple of the blocks as they're falling.

Eating her greens

There just aren't many foods that this girl doesn't like. As soon as she gets her teeth those veggies had better watch out.
