My Girls

Submitted by Dan on

My Girls. One is always smiling, the other always sticking out her tongue. Which one is doing which thing varies.

All that a man can ask for.

I took this picture just after a friend's wedding. Of course, as fate demands at an outdoor wedding, it had gotten rainy and windy right about the time the wedding was to start. Poor Sophia got rather damp (Ruth and I were downright soaked), but we love the rain, and I don't think its ever too soon to instill that love in our daughter.

Ruth & Sophia at Two Medicine

Submitted by Dan on

Taken at a picnic we had at Two Medicine in Glacier. It was windy and cold and Sophia wasn't the happiest little girl, but some of the pictures still came out awfully cute.

Beautifully Pregnant

Submitted by Dan on

Ruth and I were having a little fun taking some pics in the light of the sunset. She's 8 1/2 months along here and we figured we'd better take some more pregnancy pictures before our time runs out. I especially like this one because I think it captures the duality of being sexy and motherly at the same time.

Breaking in the new Fish-Eye lens

Somehow I'm not too sure Ruth is going to be very happy with me when she sees that I've posted this pic. But it is just too good not to share. [btw, this was a Fish-Eye lens, she doesn't normally look THAT goofy. ;-) ]

Obligatory Nude Photo

Submitted by Dan on

Every Photographer, both amateur and pro, needs to have a little nudity in their work. Otherwise what would bring the ninety-nine percent of the net users who only look at porn to their websites? (The other one percent also look at YouTube videos of kittens and pirate music.)

btw- I did get Ruth's permission to post this. ;)

Ruth at the Space Needle

Submitted by Dan on

A pic of Ruth at the top of the space needle at night. You can tell from her expression that it is cold and very windy, but she was very patient with me while I fooled around with the camera settings and took time to show some nice Japanese tourists how the pictures looked.

Family Photo

Submitted by Dan on

This was a family photo I took at our cabin, we had gathered to bury my mother's ashes in one of her favorite spots.
The people are:
back row: me (Dan), my brother Wes, and my father John
front row: my wife Ruth, Wes's wife Wendy, and Wes's and Wendy's daughters Kaitlen and Lauren.
