I'm coming to eat you, you spiny little bastards

Is it ironic that this year we have had a mostly pleasant spring, but since I haven't had cows to take care of, I haven't been working outside enjoying it? Ruth and I have an ongoing argument about the meaning of irony, but I think that the first nice calving season in years--just after we sell the cows--counts.

It has been quite an adjustment living without the cows, but I have to admit that the opportunity to travel in February and March have been a rather welcome upside.

Seattle here we come!

Leaving tomorrow for Seattle, then Oregon then back to Seattle. Ruth has a dollhouse show next weekend and Emerald City Comic Con is the weekend after, and we thought it'd be fun to spend some time on the coast in between. Getting excited to go, even though we just got back from Arizona. The Oregon Coast contains three of the best places on earth: Robert's Books in Lincoln City, Tillamook Creamery in Tillamook, and Doogers Seafood Restaurant in Seaside.

No harvest for me, and other news

As of my previous post I had planned on blogging about harvest. The dirt, long hours, heat, and general all-around unpleasantness that goes along with it. You know, whine about my job (isn't that one of the primary motivations for bloggers after all?). Well, I'm sad to report that I've been given no cause to do so. I can't justifiably bitch, whine, mope, or even kvetch about harvest this year. The reason for this unreasonably sanguine attitude is that for some unknown--yet entirely welcome reason--I was not asked to help this year.

Blogging from Boise

Good heavens it's been a long time since I've blogged. I kind of got a little wrapped up with all of the stuff going on, between the banking (see the last post for a rather long and tedious explanation, more has happened since on that matter, but I've come to the realization that no one really cares about my troubles with Wells Fargo). I've also been installing a new shower in our house, and typically to a DIY project it has taken far longer than it should have, but c'est la vie.
